Why LSA was formed?

Why was LSA formed

What became clear, was that there are hundreds of small businesses, all desperately trying to find a way to make their service understood by people that had probably never considered the idea of capturing a life story in any format. Where will they find these customers?…What are the demographics?…What will their motivations be? What will their objections be and how do we overcome them? Why won’t they just do it for themselves? And much much more.

One such provider – Jim Martin of Loftbox Video Life Stories had been talking to a number of businesses operating in the same as yet ‘unspecified sector’ and proposed the idea of getting a few businesses together to see if there would be some benefits in working together. The response was very encouraging.

The innaugural meeting took place on Thursday 14th November 2019 at which 6 business founders laid down the framework to start the Life Stories Association, which would provide a place where businesses could share knowledge and ideas, work collaboratively to raise awareness of the exciting range of Life Story products and services, and to create a code of ethics and standards that would protect consumers.

The meeting was described by some as ‘inspiring’ and the combined skills and experience around the table soon meant that work started immediately on the foundation stones for the association including a marketing and communications plan which could be used to shout even louder through a variety of media channels.

We firmly believe that the creation of the Life Stories Association will inspire people to capture their own life stories, memories and reminiscences or invest in having them captured professionally as a milestone gift for elderly parents or grand parents or infact anyone…at any age that wants, or needs to record their life story …so far.
